Refund and Cancellation Policy

Evaluate before purchasing
Paint-by-Number Studio includes a limited evaluation period so customers can review compatibility and core workflow before buying. Trial outputs may be watermarked or otherwise restricted.
Digital delivery
Licenses and installers are digital products. Delivery is completed when the purchaser receives access to the installer and license or activation information.
Refund requests
Refund requests should be submitted within 14 days after purchase. Because Paint-by-Number Studio licenses operate permanently offline and cannot be remotely revoked, purchases are generally eligible for a refund only before a license file has been generated or activated, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Requests will be evaluated when:
- a customer was charged more than once for the same purchase;
- the purchased license or installer was not delivered;
- activation fails despite meeting published requirements; or
- a material, reproducible defect prevents ordinary use and the published Troubleshooting Guide does not provide a reasonable resolution.
Include the purchaser name, purchase email, transaction reference, software version, Windows version, and a description of the problem. We may request reasonable troubleshooting information before approving a technical refund.
Generally non-refundable circumstances
Except where required by law, a refund may be declined after a license file has been generated or activated, for change of mind after successful digital delivery, failure to review published system requirements, dissatisfaction with subjective artistic results, third-party API charges, or commercial use already made under the license.
Cancellations and recurring charges
The software licenses are one-time purchases rather than automatically renewing software subscriptions. Domain, OpenAI API, paint, printing, and other third-party charges are separate. If a recurring product or support plan is later offered, its renewal and cancellation terms will be disclosed before purchase.
How refunds are issued
Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned through the original payment method. Payment-provider processing times may apply. An installed offline license cannot be remotely revoked, which is why refund eligibility is generally reviewed before a license file is generated or activated.
Legal rights
This policy does not limit refund, cancellation, or consumer-protection rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
